The product is a remarkable and exciting device,  which should revolutionise piston engines and the motor industry over the next twenty years.

The product is an the Energy Storage Piston.  It  has been developed and refined over a number of years by Bill Galvin, an engineer highly respected and well known in his field, who has invested approximately £600,000 of his own resources.

Bill has been working closely with well known motor engineering companies and has now reached the stage of final testing prior to release to the market. The fitting of the pistons to all future piston engines will reduce fuel consumption and emissions by a recorded 30% thus filling the gap before an alternative to fossil fuels is found.

The importance and significance of the product must not be underestimated.

The company is seeking financial support in order to complete final testing and fully market the product. It has been clearly evident over a number of years that the burning of fossil fuels, particularly in internal combustion engines, is an increasing problem. There are many legislative requirements now in place in numerous countries to combat these emissions with the ultimate aim of reducing:

a)   global warming and CO2 emissions (the greenhouse effect, climate changes);
b)   ozone depletion (increasing ultra violet radiation, skin cancer);
c)   atmospheric pollution (hydrocarbons, nitrous oxides, acid rain).

The fitting of these Energy Storage Piston to all existing and future engines will reduce fuel consumption by up to a recorded 30%, and thereby similarly reduce all emissions, in particular CO2.

Patents have been applied for in major manufacturing countries.

Galvin Automotive Design Ltd has been supported by the DTI SMART award scheme, and the London Development Agency (LDA). The LDA support was awarded through the JumpStart Connect programme. In addition a Certificate of Merit was given to the product as a finalist in the London Innovation Awards.
